Get ready for the 2010 Dirty Duathlon!
Solo or two-person team categories
The 2010 Holiday Valley Dirty Duathlon kicks off on Sunday, June 20th at 10am.
The Dirty Duathlon features a 4-mile Trail Run followed by two 5-mile laps on your mountain bike.
Racers compete on Holiday Valley's gnarly and challenging trails, fire roads and fast downhill sections for awards and prizes on the most challenging course in Western New York.
The Dirty Duathon is not for the light hearted. We're not talking pavement here, these are trails-
Real trails, single track trails that feature roots, rocks,
plenty O dirt and will push you to the limit other athletes only dream of.
The Race: Participants start the race with a 1-lap 4-mile trail run featuring just over 600 vertical feet of climbing in a ski-resort setting on clearly marked trails. One water station greets runners at the top of the first climb. After finishing the run competitors grab their mountain bikes from the racks and complete two slightly longer 5-mile laps and finish the race. Helmets mandatory while on the bikes.
You'll be racing on wide fire road style hard pack climbs, a bit of gravel,
twisty, tight single track and have a thrill ride only those with Guts can appreciate.
Sure you might get a little dirty, dusty and sweaty but we don't call it the Dirty Duathlon for 'nuthin!

Post-race party, lunch & snacks followed by our awards ceremony & door prizes.
The Dirty Duathlon helps support the American Diabetes Association.
